    The Society for the Study of Occupation: USA invites abstract submissions for the 2026 Conference, Charting a Course: Focusing and Catalyzing Research for Action, to be held November 5 to 7, 2026 in Portland, Maine. All occupational science topics are welcome.

    The abstract submission site opens is now OPEN. The deadline has been extended to Friday, April 3, 2026 at 11:59 PM PST.

    Nominations are now open for the Dr. Ruth Zemke Lectureship in Occupational Science (RZLOS), to be delivered at the 2027 SSO:USA Annual Research Conference. This honorary lectureship recognizes scholars at any career stage whose work demonstrates meaningful contributions to occupational science, intellectual curiosity and innovation, and a commitment to building the occupational science community.

    Nominations are due by May 16, 2025 and must be submitted electronically. Required materials include a nomination letter describing how the nominee meets the award criteria and the nominee’s current curriculum vitae.
